Robert Rodríguez was called to be the Senior Pastor of the Christ Baptist Church in October 2005. He serves as a guest chapel speaker at several Bible Colleges and Bible Camps.

Originally from Uniondale, New York, Pastor Rodríguez was raised in a Christian home and attended the First Spanish Baptist Church (Brooklyn, NY).  He accepted the Lord right before his senior year of high school.  He surrendered his life to the Lord shortly after, and sought formal training at Pensacola Christian College and Northeast Baptist Bible College.  Our pastor is married to Rebecca Lynn (Schieber); who teaches at Good Shepherd Christian Academy in Washington, NJ.  Pastor and Rebecca have four young children:  Robert Jeffrey, David Paul, Julia Luz, and Loren Sofia.

In August 2000, he became an intern at Heritage Baptist Church (Philadelphia, PA).  In January 2002, he became their interim pastor.  In April of that year, Pastor Rodríguez was called to be the Youth Pastor of Grace Baptist Church (Columbus, GA).  After studying at Luther Rice Seminary (GA), he completed his Master of Theology degree from Baptist College of America.

The Rodríguez Family are sent out by Brooklyn's First Spanish Baptist Church, as well as being sent out from the Maranatha Baptist Church in Columbus, Georgia

His preaching has been described as, "very dynamic," and yet, "extremely down to earth."  He is committed to sharing the message of the Gospel with the world...beginning with the communities of Sussex and Warren Counties in New Jersey; and the people of the Mount Bethel, Portland, and the Delaware Water Gap areas in Pennsylvania.
